subwoofer car speakers and subwoofers
You would think that this section would be obvious. This is a very common question, and it is also difficult to answer correctly without some real-world experience with the drivers in question. Tip 1: Be sure that none of the copper strands from the wiring is exposed and touching the amplifier or the other terminals and wires. Just keep in mind that this is only if the box is properly made in the first place. If you own a hatchback, for example, you will have to calculate the cubic feet of the hatch area, keeping in mind that you'll still need to be able to get to your spare tire. It weighed hundreds of pounds but it was creative.

The RCA cable will run from the amplifier and connect to the RCA or preamp outputs on your radio. Unfortunately a speaker that can produce low frequencies is too large to be able to produce the higher frequencies. Insert the fuse into the fuse holder and connect the fuse holder.

Box Software

There are quite a few different enclosure design software programs out there that can really make making your subwoofer box easier. The prices range greatly. You can find some freeware on the Internet, you can buy your software. As to which are better, I dont know, but here are some that are very much worth a good look, and they are meant for newbies like you.

Blaubox: This has been around forever it seems. This software was designed by Blaupunkt, and it's a DOS program and is very easy to use. This is the software I am most familiar with because I've been using it for so many years. It's free and definitely worth checking out. It even prints out the cut sheets for your car subwoofer box plans so that you dont have to.

WinISD: This is made available by the LinearTeam. I think that this is a very highly rated, free program. But I can say that it is worth checking out. The tone generator is a nice addition to it and is very helpful. It lets you hear what different frequencies sound like.

MacSpeakerz: this is a great program if you are using a Macintosh computer and If you dont have a PC emulator there is a program out called MacSpeakerz. I haven't used it personally but it's fairly popular and free.
